SMS/800 Number Administration Committee (SNAC)
The Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions sponsors this committee for addressing issues related to toll-free number administration. The committee is a subset of the ATIS Ordering and Billing Forum. SMS/800 representatives often attend SNAC events, but the SNAC is not affiliated with the SMS/800 Management Team.

Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
This independent government agency exists to encourage competition in all communications markets and to protect the public interest. In response to direction from Congress, the FCC implements policies concerning interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite, and cable. Issues related to toll-free number administration are usually addressed by the Common Carrier Bureau of the FCC.

North American Number Plan Administration (NANPA)
NANPA holds overall responsibility for the neutral administration of NANP numbering resources, subject to directives from regulatory authorities in the countries that share the NANP. NANPA's responsibilities include assignment of NANP resources, and, in the U.S. and its territories, coordination of area code relief planning and collection of utilization and forecast data. NANPA also maintains the list of closed toll free NPA-NXX codes.

Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS)
ATIS develops standards and solutions addressing a wide range of industry issues in a manner that allocates and coordinates industry resources and produces the greatest return for communications companies.
