| Creating a complex record (CPR) can often be misleading, especially if the toll free number is required to have a large amount of routing to be input into the CPR. The SMS/800 Help Desk has taken the time to compose some general guidelines for the industry to keep in mind when building CPR's for toll free numbers. These guidelines are designed to aide Resp Orgs in building large complex records with fewer rows and columns. Hopefully after reading through these guidelines the Resp Org will have a better understanding on how to get the most out of the CPR feature in SMS/800.

| Most SMS/800 users understand what NPA (Numbering Plan Area or Area Code) splits and overlays are, but you may not know who makes the decisions and how the overall process works. Here you will find general information on the processes associated with number resource administration, more specific information on how NPA splits and overlays work, and information on how splits and overlays are handled in the SMS/800.

| The SMS/800 Website features an online Trouble Reporting System for Resp Orgs and Service Control Point (SCP) operators. Users can track the status on open trouble tickets by clicking on the TRS link from the Resp Org section of the SMS/800 Website. Issues will be assigned a ticket number by the SMS/800 Help Desk and entered into the TRS for Resp Org tracking. Users will be able to view all trouble tickets that may affect them.

| Users who are waiting to reserve a number that will soon be returned to spare now know what time a given number will automatically spare. Numbers scheduled for automatic spare are released at 11 PM Central.

| The SMS/800 Website gives users the ability to update their contact information via the SMS/800 Website (www.sms800.com). Not only can users utilize this built in functionality, but Primary Contacts may also use this same feature to update their company information as well.

| IntraLATA Carrier Management allows LECs and Network Service Providers the ability to manage the use of the 0110 Carrier Identification Code (CIC) within their networks. This Release was installed in the SMS/800 Production environment on June 11, 2005 and activated on February 5, 2006.

| Users have the option of porting a set of multiple numbers to another Resp Org at one time. The feature is available to both MGI users and to Web-Based Access (WBA) users. Users can type in a list of toll-free numbers, paste in a text list of toll-free numbers or import a file of toll-free numbers. Users can find the Multi-Dial Number Resp Org Change window from the Main Menu of the WBA under the System Automation Functions option.

| The SMS/800 designates a variety of statuses for both toll-free numbers and for the customer records associated with those numbers. Users should understand that number status is not the same as record status. Accurate assessments of number and record statuses can improve the service quality for end users, so a quick tour of the number statuses and the associated record statuses is provided.

| Due to increased requests for an SMS/800 Database class and the postponement of the NG (Next Generation) SMS/800, a class in the Current WBA system is currently being offered in Bismarck, ND from October 9th thru October 13th 2006.
